How safe is it to drop-in to pick up pre-ordered supplies from Randy at CHS in Brampton? He hasn't returned any of my emails or phone calls this week, and I'm planning on making a long trip to pick up my order tonight.

His hours say every night from 6-8pm, I'm assuming that means he's there?

it's his home (not a store or something), so i always confirm with him before heading there to pickup. that's a good plan just to confirm that the stuff is in stock and that he'll be around for you to get it.

he's always answered email and/or calls within a day (often same-day), so if he's not answering it's possible he's traveling or something... i'd wait for confirmation before driving out there.

Good advice, thanks. It's a long drive for me, and I don't want to show up for nothing. Kind of dissapointed, was really hoping to brew this weekend.

What is your recipe? What do you still need for your brew day?

It's all working out in the end. I didn't end up going, but I have a friend from PS who is heading down for a wedding and is picking up some yeast from Randy. He's going to pick up my supplies.

I did call the chap at BrewPlus in Barrie. He wants 7$/liter of Malt Extract. Not sure how that works out in pounds.

Probably about 2 lbs per litre.

Good stuff. Now get yourself a 50+ quart coleman extreme cooler and get that MLT made so you can stop monkeying around with extracts.

Trust me.. I'm doing just that this weekend
